Collection: LIBERTY OF LONDON

Arthur Liberty opened the Liberty Emporium on Regent St in 1875, It was laden with exotic luxuries and fabrics from distant lands. Liberty quickly became a byword for the very best of avant-garde textile design. Today the studio based in London’s bohemian Soho creates more than 120 patterns and prints annually.

Liberty Cottons are globally regarded as the finest quality cottons in the world. Developed by Liberty after WWI, Tana Lawn is constructed from long staple Egyptian cotton yarn. As with Liberty’s traditional poplin, the cotton is woven into a compact, super-fine cloth with a beautiful smooth surface that is ideal for printing.
